MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

We run a computerised appointment system in order to spread the workload through the day and avoid patients having to wait too long to see a doctor or a nurse. Wherever possible, patients will be seen within 24-48 hours. A few early morning and evening appointments are available for commuters.

Sometimes the doctor of your choice is fully booked and the reception staff may have to suggest an alternative doctor. Please try to be patient and our staff will do their best to see to your needs.

If you cannot attend a GP, nurse or consultant appointment please let us know well in advance so that we can offer this appointment to another patient.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN HOME VISITS?

If you are ill and this prevents you attending the surgery a home visit can be arranged by telephoning 0845 408 1277 or 01702 533740. Except in emergencies please try to make your request before 11.00am as this helps the doctor to plan the visits.

Of course, requests for visits in an emergency will be dealt with as quickly as possible.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN TEST RESULTS?

Blood tests and x-ray results take approximately 7-10 days to come back from the hospital. You can either ring or call into the surgery after 11.00am Monday to Friday. The receptionists will then be able to give you a message from the doctor who has checked the result.
